Eduardo Reyes, a 35-year-old resident of Citrus Heights, California, died on June 22, 2015, in an officer-involved shooting. The incident began when Reyes, who had been drinking heavily throughout the day, returned home and became verbally and physically abusive towards his wife, Lisa Reyes. Concerned for her safety and that of their children, Lisa called 911 to report the domestic violence.
