Sergeant Scott Paul Lunger, a dedicated officer with the Hayward Police Department, tragically lost his life on July 22, 2015, at the age of 48. On that fateful morning, around 3:15 a.m., Sergeant Lunger conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Myrtle and Lyon Streets in Hayward, California.
