Kumase Baraka Jefferson, a 41-year-old man from Los Angeles, was tragically shot and killed on August 15, 2015. The incident occurred in the 900 block of West 65th Street in the Vermont-Slauson area. According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s records, Jefferson and a 35-year-old man were standing in front of an abandoned residence when a light-colored sedan approached.
