Edward Lee Kates III, a 51-year-old resident of Los Angeles, California, tragically lost his life on August 2, 2022. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's office reported that Kates was found deceased in a vehicle located on Foothill Boulevard. The cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound to the head and neck, and the manner of death was classified as a homicide. The formal pronouncement of death was made at 12:55 a.m. on the day of the incident.
