Armando Ortega, a 26-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on August 25, 2015, near Hooper Avenue and East 45th Street in Central-Alameda, Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s records, the incident occurred around 10:45 p.m. when Ortega was picking up his wife from a friend's house.
