On October 21, 2015, three individuals were arrested in connection with the crime spree. Kevin Barrera, a 21-year-old Latino, Debbie Lopez, a 20-year-old Latina, and Cristian Lopez, a 24-year-old Latino, were charged with various crimes. Debbie and Cristian Lopez faced charges of murder, conspiracy to commit a crime, second-degree robbery, and two counts of attempted murder. Kevin Barrera was charged with second-degree robbery and two counts of attempted murder. Prosecutors planned to seek gang enhancements on the charges, indicating that the crimes were gang-related.
