Omar Ventura, a 23-year-old resident of Porterville, California, tragically lost his life on December 24, 2015, in an incident involving law enforcement. On that day, Porterville police officer Jennifer Rutledge responded to a 911 call reporting a violent domestic disturbance. The call was made by Ventura's girlfriend, who stated that Ventura had assaulted her and his mother, and had also damaged a vehicle.
