On January 21, 2016, John Asher, aged 44, was found deceased outside a home on Auberry Road, near the intersection of Millerton Road in Clovis, California. The Fresno County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call around 12:30 am reporting an injured woman at the location. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the woman, identified as 36-year-old Karisha Beardsley, inside the home with fatal gunshot wounds.
