On April 13, 2016, Pansy Thongban, a 28-year-old resident of Rodeo, California, tragically lost her life in what authorities have identified as a murder-suicide. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Sandy Cove Drive. According to the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office, deputies responding to the scene found Thongban in the driver's seat of a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound.
