Brisa Covarrubias, a 13-year-old girl from Modesto, California, tragically lost her life on May 30, 2016. On that fateful day, Brisa and her 15-year-old brother were standing outside their home on Pelton Avenue when a vehicle approached them. After a brief exchange of words between the passenger and Brisa's brother, the passenger pulled out a gun and opened fire.
