Alberto Juarez Jr., aged 40, tragically lost his life on July 24, 2016, in Oakland, California. The incident occurred during a street party in the 9200 block of Holly Street in East Oakland. Juarez was attempting to intervene in an assault when he was fatally shot. The altercation began when members of the Norteno gang were assaulting a rival gang member who had been knocked unconscious.
