Jose Tacuba Cruz, a 29-year-old resident of Salinas, California, tragically lost his life on August 28, 2016. Born on March 19, 1987, in Guerrero, Mexico, Cruz was known for his dedication to his family and community. On the day of his death, Cruz was cleaning up after a child's birthday party in the front yard of a house on the 700 block of Elton Place when he was fatally shot. The incident occurred in the evening, and Cruz was pronounced dead at the scene.
