Lamar Montez Murry, a 49-year-old resident of Long Beach, California, was tragically shot and killed on August 30, 2016. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 4:45 a.m., in the 1600 block of Hiles Avenue. According to the Los Angeles County coroner's records, officers from the Long Beach Police Department responded to a call about a man lying in the street.
