Sergeant Steven C. Owen, a 53-year-old veteran of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, tragically lost his life on October 5, 2016, in Lancaster, California. On that fateful day, Sergeant Owen responded to a burglary in progress call in the 3200 block of West Avenue J-7.
