Carolyn Cagey, a 43-year-old resident of the Pala Indian Reservation in California, was tragically killed on January 16, 2017. The incident occurred on W. Pala Mission Road, where Cagey was found with multiple gunshot wounds. According to the autopsy report, she was shot ten times, including once in the forehead, five times on the left side of her face, twice in the neck, and once in the chest.
