Johnnathen Rivas, a 24-year-old resident of Corcoran, California, tragically lost his life on January 28, 2017. The incident occurred in the morning hours when Rivas, who was identified as a member of the Norteño gang, was shot and killed by Erik Cory Patino. The confrontation took place on Orange Avenue near Letts Avenue in Corcoran. Witnesses reported seeing Patino and Rivas together shortly before the shooting, which was believed to be gang-related.
