Joselito Luis Ulloa, a 32-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on April 29, 2017, near Lancaster Avenue and Murchison Street in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s records, Ulloa was standing on a street corner with multiple people at a makeshift memorial around 3:45 a.m. when a dark-colored sedan with tinted windows approached.
The driver asked about the group’s gang affiliation before firing multiple rounds, striking four adults, including Ulloa. Ulloa was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:48 a.m. The other victims of the shooting were expected to survive their injuries.
