Alexander Rene Durazo, a 28-year-old U.S. Army veteran, was tragically killed on June 7, 2017, at a Motel 6 located on Kern Street in Salinas, California. Durazo, who had served in the U.S. Army's special forces with tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, was found shot multiple times in the chest, head, and legs. His death was a significant loss to his family and the community, as he was known for his dedication to his country and his work in veteran outreach programs.
