Fredis Orlando Mejia-Melendez, a 24-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on June 10, 2017, in the Westlake area of Los Angeles. Mejia-Melendez was standing on the sidewalk in the 400 block of North Coronado Street around 8:40 p.m. when he was shot multiple times.
