Hieu "Charlie" Ly, a beloved liquor store owner in San Jose, California, was tragically killed on August 7, 2017, during a robbery at his store, Jim's Liquor Mart, located at Quimby and South White Road. The incident occurred late at night when a masked gunman entered the store and demanded money. When Ly refused to comply, the suspect shot him in the chest in front of his wife.
