Raul De La Torre, a 45-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on August 14, 2017, in South El Monte, California. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. while De La Torre was driving west on Fern Street. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, he was struck by gunfire from outside his vehicle.
