On October 28, 2017, five-year-old Xavier Smith tragically lost his life in a drive-by shooting in Modesto, California. Xavier and his friend, Deandre Gonder, were playing inside the garage of a home on Lake Park Court when the incident occurred. The boys were enjoying their time together when shots were fired at the house, striking both children.
