Richard Iloilo, a security guard at Golden West Casino in Bakersfield, California, tragically lost his life on November 3, 2017. The incident occurred when Keon Brackenridge, a patron at the casino, refused to provide identification upon request by another security guard, Jose Lopez. Following the refusal, Lopez called his supervisor, Richard Iloilo, to assist in escorting Brackenridge off the premises.
