On January 1, 2018, 28-year-old Saul Perez Pacheco was found with a gunshot wound on the side of Alderpoint Road in Garberville, California. He was discovered by a passerby and was subsequently transported to Jerold Phelps Community Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
