Joseph Duarte, an 18-year-old from Los Angeles, California, was tragically shot and killed on March 18, 2018. The incident occurred in the 800 block of Bay View Avenue in Wilmington, a neighborhood in Los Angeles. Duarte was standing on the sidewalk with his friend, Cesar Gutierrez, when an unknown assailant approached and opened fire. Both Duarte and Gutierrez were struck by multiple rounds.
