Ajmal "AJ" Faroqi, a 39-year-old resident of Brentwood, California, was tragically killed on March 18, 2018, in Hayward. Faroqi was shot while seated in his car on Mission Boulevard in unincorporated Hayward around 3 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Alameda County Sheriff's Office identified Faroqi as an innocent victim, and the motive for the killing remains undetermined.
