Daniel Cordova, a 25-year-old resident of Oakland, California, tragically lost his life on April 15, 2018. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 1:25 a.m., on East 10th Street. Cordova was fatally shot by Julio Rodriguez, a 34-year-old ex-convict, during an altercation. Julio Rodriguez was charged with multiple offenses, including murder, attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of an assault weapon, and possession of drugs for sale. His accomplice, Jesus Deleon Jr., 29, was charged with attempted murder and being an accessory after the fact. Both men were apprehended later that day by California Highway Patrol officers in central California. They were held without bail pending their court appearances.
