Frank James Stringfellow Jr., a 19-year-old resident of Los Angeles, California, tragically lost his life on July 10, 2018, following a shooting incident that occurred the previous evening. On July 9, 2018, at approximately 9:35 p.m., Stringfellow was in his car attempting to turn around in a McDonald's parking lot located at 11800 Wilmington Avenue in the Willowbrook area of South Los Angeles.
According to reports, while making a three-point turn, an unidentified assailant approached and began shooting at him. Despite being shot, Stringfellow managed to complete his turn and drive a short distance before colliding with another vehicle in the parking lot. He was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day at 2:30 p.m.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department launched an investigation into the shooting, with initial findings suggesting that the incident was gang-related. The suspect was described as a black male, aged between 18 and 20 years old. Investigators have been working to identify the shooter using surveillance footage from the restaurant.
