On a January evening in New Orleans, the life of 19-year-old Kareem Harris was tragically cut short in a brazen act of violence that spilled into a historic local landmark. The young man, a male, was being pursued by a gunman when he sought refuge inside the famed Dooky Chase's Restaurant. The assailant followed him into the foyer and opened fire, killing Harris and injuring three bystanders who were waiting for a table.
