Upon arrival, they discovered Hernandez and another 22-year-old man in the parking lot of an apartment complex, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
Hernandez was pronounced dead at 10:16 p.m., while the other man was expected to survive. Investigators believe that the two men were in the parking lot when one or more individuals approached and began shooting without provocation. The motive for the shooting remains unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.

His family remembers him as a man full of life, who was preparing to take on the responsibilities of caring for his younger siblings in case anything happened to their parents.
Despite the efforts of the Los Angeles Police Department, no arrests have been made in connection with Hernandez’s murder. The police have announced a $75,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the shooting.
