Jose Lemus, a 57-year-old resident of Azusa, California, died on December 21, 2018, after being involved in an officer-involved shooting. According to the Los Angeles County coroner's records, Lemus was shot in Azusa. The incident occurred when Azusa police officers responded to a report of a suspicious person or possible burglary in progress at a warehouse on McKinley Avenue.
