The incident occurred around 12:30 PM when Ivan was visiting a friend's house near the intersection of Belmont and Fairfax Avenues in Firebaugh. At the time of the incident, Ivan's mother was away in Mendota, leaving Ivan and his 13-year-old friend unsupervised.
