On July 17, 2019, the quiet community of Borrego Springs, California, was shaken by the tragic deaths of Ann Sides, aged 71, and her son, Corey Sides, aged 43. The San Diego County Sheriff's Department responded to a welfare check request from a concerned neighbor who had not seen the pair since July 12.
