Marlon Wardell Brumfield Jr., a 22-year-old U.S. Army soldier, tragically lost his life on September 8, 2019, in Lompoc, California. Brumfield, who was on leave from his post in Germany, was visiting family when he was fatally shot while walking near the intersection of Ocean Avenue and A Street.
