Adrian Dewayne Johnson, a 23-year-old resident of Inglewood, California, tragically lost his life on September 27, 2019. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 1:53 a.m., in the yard of a home located in the 100 block of North Ash Street. Responding to reports of a shooting, officers found Johnson suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to a hospital, he was pronounced dead at 3:55 a.m.
An autopsy later confirmed that Johnson died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
The Inglewood Police Department immediately launched a homicide investigation, which remained active for several months. Through their diligent efforts, detectives identified Lancelot Joshua Wilburn, a 38-year-old man from Bellflower, as the primary suspect in the case.
