On March 25, 2020, the Madera County Sheriff's Office responded to a distressing call from a man who reported that his father was covered in blood and his mother was missing. Upon arriving at the residence on Donald Avenue in Madera, California, deputies discovered the lifeless body of 42-year-old Norma Lopez-Castillo. She had suffered a fatal gunshot wound.
