Jimmy Daniel Orozco, a 29-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on April 22, 2020, in Pomona, California. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning on the 1000 block of East Mission Boulevard. According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records, Orozco sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the back. Pomona Police received a call about shots fired in the area around 1:30 a.m., and shortly thereafter, Orozco was dropped off at a hospital.
Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead at 2:53 a.m.

On November 17, 2021, Pomona Police announced the arrests of two suspects in connection with the homicide.
