In the spring of 2012, the life of a young New Orleans student and father was tragically cut short, leaving a family grieving and a community searching for answers. Freddie Kawan Robertson, Sr., a 19-year-old African-American male, was killed by gun violence on May 18, 2012. At the time of his death, Robertson was a student at Delgado Community College and was the proud father of a young son.
