Miles Armstead, a 44-year-old wealth management banker from Oakland, California, tragically lost his life on May 1, 2020. Armstead was shot and killed in the front yard of his home while preparing it for sale. This incident was the culmination of a prolonged period of harassment and threats from his neighbor, Jamal Thomas. Thomas, who had been evicted from his home in August 2019, returned as a squatter and began a campaign of intimidation against Armstead and his family starting in November 201 ...
