Leonel Avalos, a 40-year-old resident of Huron, California, tragically lost his life on the night of May 28, 2020. Around 11:15 PM, Huron Police responded to a call reporting shots fired on the 16000 block of 6th Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Avalos outside a home, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite their efforts to administer medical aid, Avalos succumbed to his injuries at the scene. This incident marked the third homicide in Huron for the year 2020.
