On January 13, 2021, Mubarek Saleh Alnajar, a 30-year-old resident of Bakersfield, California, was found dead under a car in the 1700 block of Panama Lane. The Bakersfield Police Department responded to the scene around 9:50 p.m. and discovered Alnajar suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. The investigation revealed that Alnajar had been shot in the face at close range, with the bullet entering his left cheek and exiting the right side of his neck, hitting an artery.
