In the winter of 2013, the life of a young Baton Rouge man was tragically cut short. Demarcus Thomas, a 19-year-old male, died on Tuesday, January 21, 2013. A resident of Baton Rouge, his death was the result of gun violence. At the time of his passing, he was a father to a young son, DeMarcus DeWayne Thomas, Jr.
