On a cloudy Tuesday evening in New Orleans, January 29, 2013, Steven Augustin-Jones, a 23-year-old African-American male, was standing outside a residence in the 7100 block of Bunker Hill Road. At approximately 6 p.m., in an act of sudden violence, an unknown individual opened fire, striking both Augustin-Jones and another 23-year-old man multiple times.
