Ralph Mendez, a 55-year-old resident of Wheatland, CA, tragically lost his life on May 12, 2021. The incident occurred in the early hours when Mendez was shot in his home on G Street. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Wheatland Police Department quickly identified Rory Banks, a 41-year-old local resident, as the primary suspect. Banks was arrested shortly after the incident.
