Alex Ward Fritch, aged 49, tragically lost his life on May 26, 2021, as a result of a mass shooting at the Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) light rail yard in San Jose, California. Fritch, a substation maintainer who had worked for the VTA for about nine years, was among the nine victims of this horrific incident.
