Aaron Burrell, a 37-year-old resident of Emeryville, was tragically shot and killed on June 9, 2021, in Richmond, California. The incident occurred in the Hilltop neighborhood, specifically in the 3000 block of Shane Drive. Richmond police responded to the scene around 12:25 p.m. after their ShotSpotter gunshot detection system was activated, indicating a significant amount of gunfire.
