On June 30, 2021, she was found deceased in her vehicle in the San Fernando Valley's Devonshire area, having suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Sky had been battling stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, a diagnosis that had significantly impacted her mental health, leading to severe depression. Friends and colleagues noted that her illness and the associated emotional toll were profound. Adult film producer Hans, who had worked closely with Sky, mentioned that her final year was particularly challenging due to her health struggles. Additionally, reports indicated that Sky was homeless and living in her car in Northridge, California, at the time of her death. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner conducted an autopsy and concluded that Sky's death was a suicide resulting from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
