On October 4, 2021, Crystal Nelson, a 36-year-old resident of Fresno, California, was found dead at the Clarion Pointe Motel on Blackstone Avenue. Her body was discovered by housekeeping staff when she failed to check out of her room. Upon arrival, officers determined that Nelson had suffered a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
