James Ernest Ellis, a 20-year-old resident of Bakersfield, California, tragically lost his life on December 17, 2021. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. on East California Avenue near Ogden Street. According to reports from the Kern County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to calls about a shooting in the area. Upon arrival, they found Ellis suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to Kern Medical, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
