Scott Anthony Bates Jr., a 39-year-old resident of Modesto, California, tragically passed away on September 3, 2022. Bates was found shot to death in a vehicle on Imperial Avenue in Modesto. Upon arrival, deputies discovered him with a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding his death were initially unclear, prompting an extensive investigation by the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office.
